Welcome To My Website

“To sum up, I will continue my profession in America, with the same principles and ethics this time in a new environment with new oppurtunities and representing Turkish women in the best way that I can.”

Pınar Aydemir Başaran

I was born as a baby girl, a human being and I liked playing hide and seek dodge-ball and swinging when I was a kid. As time passed by I grew up, matured so I thought; graduated from law school and became a lawyer. I have started my career as a government official in Ankara working at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and decided to quit at the end of 3.5 years, as being a government official was not part of my long term vision. At that time I had the desire to have a profession at which I could work with passion, where I would have more options to improve myself and my future. I guess this thought was so dominant that I started to work at a prominent law office in Istanbul and became a partner in 4 years. At the end of 10 years, when our law firm reached 40 people, besides practicing law, I was also using my different abilities and strengths for interpersonal relationships and was being a mentor. While working as the partner of the law firm, I have worked with an individual coach for a short period for my own personal issues and dilemmas. After some time, although everything was not crystal clear, at least it was clear what I did not want to do. I did not want to continue as a lawyer, I believed there were other things that I could do by adding more value and more enthusiastically with my personal and professional powers. With this awareness, I had taken numerous coaching trainings and started coaching for empowering and facilitating people to connect with their inner selves and to unleash their potential, so that they could drive their lifes according to their will.
Simultaneously with the transformation in my professional life, I ended my marriage of 20 years. Therefore, my job, my spouse, my surname and part of my friends have gone out of my life. I believe these kind of periods lead a person to look inside, facing the depth of his/her soul and mind, sometimes struggling but then becoming alive again.
Now I realize, all that I have done, was done with an inner desire to reawaken the brave and free girl inside me and to help cultivate her as a woman who walks with conscious choices and actions. I believe we are all entrusted with unique talents and powers; all we have to do is to discover or remember these and to reach our core values and core power, if required by asking the same questions again and again and with perseverance. Today, I am working on matters which I truly love to work on, in a way to create value, based on my achievements as an attorney, a mediator and as a coach. I am coaching and mentoring in my areas of specialty as you see on this website.
On the other hand, I have started working on alternative dispute resolution as part of a women entreprenur group based in Istanbul, with the intention to be the foreign leg of the group to provide assistance for mediation, facilitation and conciliation in transactions and disputes involving Turkish-American or other multinational relations. As of this year, 2018, I am based in California due to my second marriage. I will be working from the U.S. with my Turkish clients through skype or by visiting Turkey whenever required.
To sum up, I will continue my profession in America, with the same principles and ethics this time in a new environment with new oppurtunities and representing Turkish women in the best way that I can. Whatever comes next, I will continue with my values, vision and without giving up on learning, discovering, sharing and producing. I also wish you never give up on your vision, dreams, values, principles and things that you do with passion and you will take care of the rest with ease.
Sincerely,

“The only voyage of discovery consists of not seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
